    Austin, TX--If you're in or near Austin, you're looking for ways to celebrate the Fourth of July, including fireworks, and parades. You can get outside and enjoy local family-friendly events across the Austin area.

    Austin / Travis County

    The HEB Austin Symphony Concert & Fireworks is back and hosting your family-friendly event. The concert is free and open to the public. Hosted at Vic Mathias Shores (formally Auditorium Shores) and the Long Center (600 W. Riverside Dr., Austin, TX)., you can enjoy music by the Austin Symphony Orchestra. The show starts at 8 pm and fireworks follow. Donations are accepted on the website.

    The City of West Lake 4th of July Parade, (101 Westlake Dr. West Lake Hills, TX), The parade starts at 8:30 am and crowds can gather in the Independent Financial Bank parking lot.

    Hill Country Galleria is hosting an Independence Day Festival from 4-10 pm. Shopping, boutiques, and art vendors will have items available for purchase. Live music will take place from Central Plaza.

    Pfluggerville July 4th Pfireworks in partnership with Typhoon Texas hosts a celebration next to the water park (at the intersection of SH 130 and Pflugerville Parkway, near Austin). If you are not visiting the water park, you can watch fireworks from surrounding locations:

    The Third Annual Lobster and Friends at Launderette: The East Austin resteraunt known for seafood and shrimp hosts a boil. from noon to 8 pm. The price $50 per ticket and you can book a ticket here.

    Freebirds World Burrito offers their burritos, free to wee ones. Kids eat free when they accompany an adult entree purchase. See the website here.

    Hays County

    Independence Day Celebration in Kyle hosts an Indepencence Day fireworks celebration. The city reminds local residents that it is unlawful to discharge any fireworks without a permit. Park at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center (979 Kohlers Crossing) and enjoy the 30 minute firework show that is a partnership with radio station KAZI 88.7 who will live stream music for the event.

    Fireworks at Dreamland, (2770 Hwy. 290 W.) near Dripping Springs in South Austin, is ready to show off its new splash for the kids to play and will have food and drinks available all day.

    Williamson County

    Independence Day Celebration and Frontier Days at Round Rock, just north of Austin, hosts a parade on July 3rd that goes through downtown Round Rock: This parade will take place on the 1.5 mile route along Mays Street between Mays Crossing and Highway 79 and starts at 8:30am.

    The Community Center at Brushy Creek near Austin hosts a parade. The parade and festivities happen at Cat Hollow Park. Parade starts at 9 am, family-friendly activities like eating watermelon, climbing a rockwall, and field games are available free of charge. See full events here.

    Round Rock Express Independence Celebration. After the baseball game ends at the Dell Diamond the fireworks begin. The first pitch against against the Sugar Land Skeeters will be thrown at 6:05 pm. Kids may play hosted events beginning at 5 pm. See full events here.

    Parade in Hutto from 4:30-9:30 PM at Brushy Creek Amphitheater! Gates open at 4:30 and the event that headlines musical inspiration by Jack Ingram is free, but must be reserved. Make reservations here.

    Parade in Taylor at Old Taylor High, (410 West 7th Street) hosted by the American Legion. Parade starts at 9 am. Fireworks begin at 9:20 pm Details here.
