    Granger man killed in Niles Township crash

    NILES CHARTER TOWNSHIP — A 69-year-old Granger man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening north of the state line in Niles Charter Township, according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office.

    At approximately 8:31 p.m., first responders were dispatched to the 3000 block of S. 11th Street in Niles Charter Township following reports of a traffic crash involving a dump truck and a car. The driver of the car, a 69-year-old Granger man, was exiting a private driveway onto S. 11th Street and failed to yield to the oncoming truck, resulting in the crash.

    The man was pronounced deceased at the scene and his identity withheld pending notification of next of kin.
