    Crowd breaks attendance record at Eastwood Field

    NILES, Ohio (WKBN) — An attendance record has been broken at the Eastwood Field.

    Thursday’s Mahoning Valley Scrappers game was 7 17 Credit Union’s Financial Wellness Night, and according to a news release, 7,869 fans were in attendance.

    The Scrappers beat the State College Spikes 16-8.

    “We want to thank the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, local leaders, partners and the
    entire community for helping to make 7 17 Financial Wellness Night at the ballpark such
    a memorable night,” said 7 17 Credit Union CEO and President John Demmler in the release. “This event gave us a real chance to thank the community for banking on the success of 7 17
    for 67 years, and we want the community to know we are banking on them now and in
    the future.”

    Tickets to attend the game were provided by the credit union and were free on a first come first serve basis.
