Taylor Swift recently met with the families of the girls affected by the Southport stabbing attack from last month. During her five-night performance series at Wembley Stadium, which marked her final European dates of the Eras Tour, Swift welcomed the families backstage. Photos shared on TikTok show Swift with Sami Foster and her daughters, Hope and Autumn, one of whom had a bandaged arm. Swift's mother, Andrea, was also seen with the Foster family in one of the photos. Foster expressed her gratitude on TikTok, referencing Swift's song “Cardigan” and thanking Swift and her mother for bringing joy to her family during a difficult time. While the exact number of families Swift met is unclear, reports suggest Foster’s family wasn’t the only one to have a backstage encounter with the singer. Swift has not publicly discussed these meetings but did release a statement following the attack, expressing her shock and sorrow over the violence and loss. Before her Wembley concerts, it was reported that Swift had privately contacted the families of the three girls who were killed in the attack on July 29. The attack occurred during a dance class themed around Swift’s music, injuring several other children and adults. A 17-year-old has been charged in connection with the incident. Swift's Wembley performances follow the cancellation of three Vienna concerts due to thwarted terror threats. She has one more London show before concluding the European leg of her tour and taking a break. She will resume the tour in North America, ending with shows in Toronto and Vancouver.
