Support state funding for schools

It has been shocking to see the Yelm school district levy fail and the accompanying job losses. One positive thing we can do is elect representatives who will support state funding for our public schools. In the Second Legislative District Yanah Cook and Erasmo Ruiz are running for the representative 2 and senator positions, respectively. Yes, they are Democrats, but isn’t it time for a change? Our voting options this year are between extremists and pro-democracy Democrats.

Yanah has a plan to use existing revenue to support our schools, and Erasmo is a Bethel School Board director who understands what our schools need.

Marilyn Rasmussen was our last Democrat senator in 2009. Isn't it time to give Democrats a chance?
