Comcast & Bally deal will bring Twins games back to Xfinity
MINNEAPOLIS — There's finally some good news for thousands of Twins fans who have been unable to follow their favorite team on TV all summer. Diamond Sports Group announced a deal with Comcast to carry all 15 of its Bally Sports networks on Xfinity, including Bally Sports North, the television home of the Minnesota Twins.
Uptown Art Fair to highlight over one hundred local artists
The 60th annual Uptown Art Fair will showcase over 150 local artists who specialize in different mediums on Aug. 3 and 4. The fair is usually hosted outdoors on Hennepin Avenue but has been moved to the Bachman’s Floral, Home & Garden Center in Uptown this year due to construction in the area. Bicyclist killed in crash northwest of Twin Cities
MAPLE LAKE TOWNSHIP, Minn. — A bicyclist was killed in a crash with an SUV in Wright County Sunday night, the Minnesota State Patrol said.The bicyclist and a driver in a Jeep Cherokee were both going west on Highway 55 in Maple Lake Township when they collided, according to a crash report.The man on the bike, a 21-year-old from Maple Lake, was killed in the crash, a state patrol spokesperson confirmed. The condition of the Jeep's driver, a 39-year-old man from Howard Lake, is unknown. Neither man has been publicly identified.The road was wet at the time of the crash, the crash report said.The patrol was expected to release more information on the crash Monday evening.
Three dead, seven shot in outburst of violence in Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Police say two men were fatally shot, one man was stabbed to death, and seven more men were injured by gunfire in a four-day stretch in Minneapolis. Police Chief Brian O’Hara says he asked for and received both investigative and patrol assistance from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) to help with the 10 violent incidents that have occurred since Thursday and to increase police presence in some of the current trouble spots in the city.

Twins provide an update on Jose Miranda after he was hit in the head by a pitch
Jose Miranda needed to exist Sunday's game in Detroit after the Minnesota Twins third baseman was struck in the side of the head by a pitch. It happened in the top of the first inning, when an Alex Faedo fastball came high and inside, hitting Miranda in the side of his helmet and sending him to the dirt. Miranda stayed down for a considerable amount of time, with the Twins training staff attending to him, but he was eventually able to get up and walk back to the clubhouse under his own power.
