    Nitro voters select new leaders in Municipal Election

    NITRO, WV (WOWK) — The results of the City of Nitro’s Municipal Election came in Tuesday.

    Mayor David Casebolt was re-elected for his fourth term and Nitro business man Rich Hively will be taking over as Recorder, a position previously held by long-time Recorder Rita Cox after her retirement.

    In the only contested race, the new council members at large are Andy Shamblin, Bill Javins and Emily Barr.

    As for the city districts, Donna Boggs was elected as the council member for Ward 1, Cynthia McGill for Ward 2, Joe Murphy for Ward 3 and Mike Hall for Ward 4.
