Spell is also ranked as a top three prospect in the state of Pennsylvania in the class.Only a rising sophomore, Spell burst onto the recruiting scene during his freshman season, running for 15.9 yards per carry and four rushing touchdowns for McKeesport High School.The 5-foot, 11-inch, 175-pound running back Spell committed to the Nittany Lions over offers from Michigan, Florida State, Michigan State, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Pitt, among others.
