    Bayonne man on scooter dies in crash with NJ Transit bus in Jersey City

    Prayers and condolences to family and friends 🙏🏼🙏🏽🙏 Those who ride these "scooters" in traffic - not on the bicycle lane, not on the sidewalk - should have licences and perhaps license plates. There are many small electric scooters whose drivers hold up traffic because they cannot go 30 - 50 mph. They are a danger to drivers, especially at night. Some seniors have told me, "They honk their horns, tell me to get off the street and out of the way but I ignore them and keep going." - even trying to pass them! Their small baskets are overly filled with groceries, etc and hanging on with bunji chords.At 68 yrs with arthritic hips, I understand the freedom these scooters give however, the drivers need to have a driver's licence!! There are more and more of these smaller electric scooters driving in traffic and let's face it, traffic is heavy. Make these people have operating licenses!!
