And one of the reasons is because ofThe shortage the state itself created by laying off all the LPN following California and making med techs and PCA instead. Lpn by far have better training then RN at bedside. They are in the field immediately and all day during training unlike the RN with limited bedside and all book. Both are needed yes definitely but the state did this. Not much difference in what their scope of practice is I say expanding their scope and bring them back more into hospitals. They seem to function extremely well in long term care and subacute.
