    SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT

    The resignation of Angela Penna from the Board of Education

    BUDGET

    The final presentation and adoption of the BHPS budget will occur. The total 2024-25 budget is $61,658,566. Following the presentation, a public hearing on budget items only will occur.

    ADMINISTRATION*
    F. Approve Appointment of Interim Superintendent of Schools; this information is blank. The term of this interim is May 31, 2024-June 30, 2024.

    K. Approve 2024-25 Re-Employment of Business Administrator/Board Secretary– Anthony Juskiewicz with an annual salary of $180,2500.

    L. Approve 2024-25 Re-Employment of Technology Specialist Coordinator – Jeremy Marx with an annual salary of $118,450.

    *Missing from the expected renewals, along with all contracts set to expire on June 30, 2024 is the contract for Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Anthony Giordano. Unfortunately, his original contract is no longer accessible online for reference. We are inquiring into this matter.

    BUSINESS

    J. Approve contract with NJSBA for Superintendent Search
    Not to exceed $15,000.

    K. Approval of subscription busing rates
    Based on the last BOE Meeting and what we’ve gotten from other confirmed sources, the four BOE members who voted for option three are going to follow through with setting a lower rate for busing. As of now, it looks like $500 for one child and a lesser rate for additional children in the same household might be the target – based on the information we’ve received.
