    Governor Launches Clemency Program
    NJ Monitor

"Murphy’s order, which comes after lobbying by the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey, directs the board to expedite applications if they pass a two-pronged test based on time and the offense for which they seek a pardon. Law enforcement officials used years-old blood spots to help them solve criminal investigations without the knowledge or consent of the families." Read More

In May, a power outage caused by overhead wires falling onto the tracks brought Amtrak and NJ Transit service to a halt for hours at the start of rush hour. Murphy called it "an unmitigated disaster" by Amtrak. Read More
