    Manufacturing Day celebrates sector, honors NJ companies (updated)

    The New Jersey Manufacturers Extension Program (NJMEP) hosted another successful iteration of its popular MADE in New Jersey Manufacturing Day event.

    Held Oct. 4 at iPlay America in Freehold, the annual meeting brought together industry leaders and stakeholders, policymakers, manufacturing professionals and others to shine a light on the industry.

    Manufacturing Day included a business expo, speeches and panel discussions, breakout sessions, the popular high school robotics demonstration, MADE in New Jersey products on display, networking opportunities, and awards and honor roll inductions.

    This year’s award winners were:



    • Manufacturer of the Year Small | Brewster Washers , Fairfield


    • Manufacturer of the Year Medium | Berj Inc. , Carteret


    • Manufacturer of the Year Large | Safran Aerosystems Evacuation , Wall Township


    • Leaders in Life Sciences | Molecular PharmaGroup , New Providence


    • Rising Stars Award | Monica St. Claire , CEO - US Offshore Inc., Burlington


    • Innovator of the Year | OPEX Corp. , Moorestown




     

    The MADE in NJ Honor Roll inductees included:



    • Michael Bartoli , senior vice president, Optimum Media


    • Chrissy Buteas , president and CEO, HealthCare Institute of New Jersey


    • Luis De La Hoz , chairman, Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey


    • Michael Egenton , executive vice president, New Jersey Chamber of Commerce


    • Frederick Keating , president, Rowan College of South Jersey


    • Carlos Medina , president and CEO, Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey


    • Anthony Russo , president, Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey


    • Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson , D-5th District


    • Sen. Andrew Zwicker , D-16th District
