Forging Our Future Shows Off Construction Progress of New Vandalia Athletic Building
Members of the Forging Our Future committee and Vandalia School Board got a look at the beginning progress made on the new athletic building that will house a new weight room, wrestling room and more for district athletes. Committee member Bob Culbertson led a tour of the progress on the building so far that has included gutting the building and beginning to layout where the various components of the building will be including the athletic offices, cardio room, golf simulator, locker room, weight room and wrestling room. Culbertson and Athletic Director Jason Clay then answered questions and Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Garrison spoke about some steps they’ve taken and will take in the future to get Vandalia student athletes involved. After the tour, Clay said they are certainly excited to see the progress being made.

PERRYVILLE, Mo. (KFVS) - A cold air funnel was spotted in Perryville on Wednesday afternoon, July 17. Viewers sent us some photos and a video of the funnel. According to a Facebook post by the Perryville Fire Department, some photos of the funnel were submitted to the National Weather Service and they confirmed there was no immediate danger in the area.

Wright City woman killed in crash on I-70 westbound at Blanchette Memorial Bridge
ST CHARLES, Mo. — A Wright City woman died Wednesday after a crash on westbound Interstate 70 involving a tractor-trailer and two passenger vehicles.
