Happy Wednesday! Today was once again stunning! I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we can’t, and won’t stay this nice forever. Tomorrow and Friday we’ll step the temps up into the mid to upper 80s, which is typical for this time of year, with dewpoints in the low 60s. So not too shabby! This weekend, we get a bit sticky and humid once again with dewpoints jumping up into the 70s. We’ll also see a small chance for some scattered showers this weekend thanks to the extra moisture that’s moving in.

A slow-moving frontal boundary will drop south across the region today and tomorrow, triggering showers and storms today and an area of rain on Tuesday. This boundary extends west to east roughly across Lake Ontario this morning. An area of rain and storms over Canada has moved out over the northern waters of Lake Ontario. This area of precipitation is expected to stay out over the lake until it passes east of the Finger Lakes.

Humidity levels have been creeping higher since Saturday and we are going to be back in the soup for today as well as the week ahead. We will also be dealing with a series of waves moving around the Bermuda high. It is building into the Southeastern US. A southwest flow aloft is bringing up ripples in the flow. It will not be raining all the time but there will be some downpours and a few heavier thunderstorms to deal with during the week ahead.

Another weak disturbance will rotate into New England today as a large-scale remains planted over eastern Canada. This will allow for another day of afternoon and evening showers and storms.
