Leftover showers across southern Kansas will keep clouds in play which could impact afternoon temperatures farther south by a few degrees. Regardless, it will be a hot and humid day with a Heat Advisory remaining in effect through early Tuesday evening. Heat indices from 105-110 degrees will be common for many towns.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - After a couple of days with very hot temperatures and high humidity, a cold front will move through into the overnight hours and drop the temperatures slightly for Wednesday. However, the humidity will remain very high, so heat index values will still be near 100 degrees Wednesday afternoon. Please continue to exercise caution if working outdoors.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) announces Medicaid’s KanCare program now covers doula services. According to KDHE, the coverage for doula services through KDHE’s state Medicaid program, KanCare, will be effective July 1. This coverage will allow Medicaid beneficiaries in Kansas to have access to a range of doula services designed to provide crucial support during pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum period while enhancing the overall health care experience for expectant mothers.
