Heat relief, more rain this weekend
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Meteorologist Dean Jones says that heat relief and more rain is on the way to Kansas this weekend. A few showers and storms across Kansas this morning, will quickly diminish through midday. It will be a warm start to the day with morning low temperatures in the 70s. Afternoon highs will only reach the 80s for most of northern state, but Wichita and south central Kansas will still reach the low to mid 90s as a front moves through late in the day. A heat advisory remains in place from Noon to 8pm for south-central and southeast Kansas as the heat index approaches 105-110 through the afternoon.
