42-year-old arrested in connection with June homicide in Ponchatoula
Chief Bry Layrisson reports the arrest of Ricky Alexander, 42, for his involvement in a shooting that resulted in a homicide in June. The shooting took place in the 500 block of North 3rd street around 9:30pm on June 6, 2024. Officers were dispatched to this location regarding shots being fired and located a male victim on the ground with a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as Gregory Harvey Jr. Harvey was taken to North Oaks Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. Kirk Arrington (59) was arrested for Second Degree Murder and Illegal Use of Weapons and transported to the Tangipahoa Parish Jail.
