BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Since 2002, Dwain Jenkins has coached on the Lutcher staff in some capacity all but three years. Jenkins now enters his 9th season as the Bulldogs head coach. He likes his offensive line, led by players like Matt Lambert, Logan Borne, Colin Hastings, and Jayden Michael. Those linemen plan to open holes for senior Trenton Chaney, who had over 1,000 all-purpose yards as a running back and wide receiver last season. Chaney is likewise verbally committed to the Ragin’ Cajuns of UL-Lafayette. And starting behind center at quarterback is one of Coach Jenkins two sons on the roster – senior No. 2 Zach Jenkins.

New Orleans man pleads guilty to carrying a machine gun on Bourbon Street
A New Orleans man pleaded guilty in federal court last Wednesday to possessing a machine gun while walking in the French Quarter in 2022. Xavion Watts, 21, was in the 400 block of Bourbon Street on Oct. 29, 2022, when New Orleans Police Department officers noticed a gun-shaped object protruding from underneath his shirt, according to U.S. Attorney Duane A.
