Around 10:30 a.m., crews were called to the 7500 block of Yorktown Drive for the report of a structure fire. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find smoke coming from the front of the home.

Once inside, crews located fire in the stairwell and on the second floor. Due to extreme weather conditions, additional crews were called to the scene. Crews were able to extinguish the fire by 11 a.m.

Officials said the fire started in or around a window air conditioning unit. Smoke detectors alerted the homeowner of the fire.

No one was hurt in the fire.
