Man seriously injured following crash in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY)– Police in Norfolk are investigating a vehicle crash early Wednesday morning that left a man with life-threatening injuries.

According to police, officers were called to the intersection of Shore Drive and Heutte Drive around 2:30 a.m. for the report of a single car crash involving a down power pole.

10 On Your Side’s Nick Broadway was there and captured images of the scene, showing intense damage to a vehicle and a damaged power poll.

Police say a man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and a woman has non life-threatening injuries.

Shore Drive, between Heutte Drive to Diamond Springs, was closed off for much of the morning as a result of the crash. All lanes have since reopened.
