    13-year-old girl recovering after being shot in Norfolk

    NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The 13-year-old girl who was hurt after a shooting in Norfolk on Friday is now recovering, police said.

    Around 8:40 p.m. on July 26, officers responded to the 1300 block of W 26th Street for the report of a gunshot victim.

    When first responders arrived, they found a 13-year-old girl suffering from multiple non life-threatening gunshot wounds. She was transported to the hospital.

    Now, detectives said they are looking for two men who might have been involved and are now asking anyone who was in the area who witnessed anything suspicious to call the Homicide Unit at 757-664-7023.
