PEORIA. Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — Louisville recruit Ethan Eberle struck out 15 hitters as Normal Community won at Normal West, 6-1, in a Big 12 baseball game Monday.

Eberle allowed one run on two hits in improving Normal Community’s record to 16-1 this season. The Ironmen opened the season with a 15-game winning streak before a loss Saturday to Bradley-Bourbonnais.

Other baseball winners Monday included Dunlap, Morton, Metamora, Limestone, Notre Dame and Eureka. Metamora, East Peoria and Illini Bluffs were among the softball winners.

Notre Dame stayed unbeaten in girls soccer with a 9-0 win over Champaign Centennial.
