NORMAN, OK ( FOX 44 ) — A promising start in Norman led to a dismal finish to start the series for Baylor baseball as the Sooners rallied from down 6-2 to take down Baylor, 19-7 on Friday night.

Cole Posey started the Bears off right in the first inning, driving in Enzo Apodaca on a RBI-single to right field as Baylor jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first.

The Sooners added two in the bottom half but Baylor kept it going in the second, tacking on three more runs to take a 6-2 lead.

Oklahoma turned it on after that, outscoring the Bears 17-1 in the final seven innings to take game one of the series.

Baylor looks to bounce back and possibly steal one this weekend against the Big 12 leading Oklahoma Sooners. Their next opportunity comes on Saturday, May 11th at 4 p.m.
