    Norman PD warn residents of phone scam

    NORMAN, Okla. ( KFOR ) — The Norman Police Department is warning the community of phone scam calls in the Norman area.

    According to the Norman PD , scammers are claiming to be current and past police officers in order to get personal information or money regarding outstanding warrants.

    LOCAL NEWS: Oklahoma A.G. warns of overdue toll charge scam

    Authorities want to remind the public that they will never call asking for money in regards to a warrant. If you receive a call like this, hang up immediately.

    Norman PD says you can call 405-321-1444 to report the scammer.
