The Oklahoma Sooners are killing it when it comes to recruiting and their 2025 class . They got sent to the SEC, and everyone wondered if they would be able to compete with those schools not only on the field but with recruiting as well. And, well, they are.

Not only that, but they are recruiting and stealing recruits from big-time Big 10 schools. Oklahoma is recruiting with everyone and is not only competing but winning some huge battles in that area of college football.

So much so, that they are beating out their former coach at USC for some pretty big-time recruits.

Things with Lincoln Riley did not end well. he left when the news broke that Oklahoma was going to the SEC. Fans now do not like him, and, well, they are obligated to feel however they want. But, let's just say you can't use the term no bad blood.

So, a recent recruiting win over the Trojans should make fans extremely happy.

Oklahoma has its 22nd commit for 2025 in four-star defensive tackle

Floyd Boucard , had Miami, Alabama, Oklahoma, and USC in his final four, and many had him going to USC with Lincoln Riley.

“I was at home chilling and then I saw Oklahoma people blowing up my phone, following my Twitter," Boucard told Rivals . Then Coach V just called me out of nowhere. I really didn’t know anything about it. But Oklahoma was always the school I used to look at growing up, with Ceedee Lamb and Jalen Hurts and all of them big-time players. So I really enjoy Oklahoma."

But, it's the one thing that Oklahoma has that many fans would argue Riley does not, that won over Boucard.

"They're really loyal people," Boucard said. "They're gonna take care of you. They're ready to take their shirts off their backs and give them to you. I've been talking to the whole coaching staff every day for the past couple of months, since January, and nothing has changed. They didn't change on me. I didn't change on them. The love over there is real... Every single one of their players is mentored very well.

"They told me, that even on the OV, you might think all this flashy stuff that they're showing you is really life. It's really not. Here, we're a family, and we're trying to make each other better every day. So, when you come down here, you just got to be better. If you're gonna be a dog, you gotta come with us. So, I really like how they are mentoring their players overall."

Oklahoma continues to prove that they can compete in the SEC. Landing a big-time defensive tackle to help them in the trenches is huge for their 2025 season and beyond. Brent Venables is doing everything right, and embracing the change from the Big 12 to the SEC.
