Prairie dogs moved to safe haven
The prairie dog colony is just five feet from a gravel road south of a car wash. A prairie dog chirped loudly. His hole in the ground was not far from State Highway 66. So far, the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation has relocated 38 prairie dogs from the Yukon area to a new home in northwest Oklahoma.

First Baptist Church in downtown Yukon was filled to capacity Thursday for funeral services to honor the life of legendary YHS track and football coach Clay Bedell. Though the much-loved and revered coach is gone, his spirit and legacy will not soon fade, that much is clear. “Bubba,” as he was affectionately referred to, will be remembered by one and all as a man with a deep passion for coaching and mentoring youth, unmatched dedication to the athletes he trained and endless love for his family.

Man Accused Of Running From Authorities Serving Warrant Arrested In Tulsa
U.S. Marshals arrested a man who ran from them as they tried to serve an arrest warrant at a Tulsa apartment complex on Friday. Authorities said Dekey Allen ran out of the Apache Manor Apartments, jumped in a vehicle and hit two law enforcement vehicles as he tried to get away.
