Williams hired to lead ABAC baseball program
TIFTON – Veteran coach Blake Williams has been hired as the head coach at the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College baseball program, the college announced Thursday. Williams comes to ABAC after 13 years as the head coach of the Andrew College Tigers. During that time, he earned 307 wins and won the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association titles in 2021 and 2023. His 2023 team also won the NJCAA Appalachian District title and competed in the NJCAA World Series in Grand Junction, Colo.

On August 1, 2024, around 4:00 P.M., a Crisp County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a silver Chevrolet Monte Carlo for improper stopping. The Deputy witnessed the driver stopping in the middle of the road and not wearing a seatbelt. Initially, the driver failed to stop after the Deputy activated lights and sirens.
