The Poverty Bay Blues & Brews Festival will feature a FREE shuttle to the event from several locations throughout downtown Des Moines.

The festival will be held at the Des Moines Beach Park from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024.

This free shuttle is a great alternative to paid parking at the Des Moines Marina, and there is no charge for street parking downtown – just park, ride and rock out!

The shuttle will run from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and shuttle stops will be at the following locations (see map below):

    • Bottom of Cliff Ave. at the entrance to the Beach Park
    • Traffic circle in the marina behind the Quarterdeck (near dry storage sheds).
    • South Marina Park.
    • Corner of 6th and 226th
    • Corner of 6th and 223rd
    • Corner of 7th and 222nd (Print Place parking lot)

Parking is also available at the Des Moines marina, adjacent to the Beach Park, for a fee of $2 to $10.

The Poverty Bay Blues & Brews Festival is organized by the Rotary Club of Des Moines & Normandy Park. All net proceeds from the event fund community and international service projects, such as support for the Des Moines Area Food Bank, Coats for Kids, and support for Mount Rainier High School students experiencing homelessness.

This year’s music lineup includes four acclaimed woman-led blues bands and tastings from 20 craft breweries and cideries.
