Normandy Park Police investigating after Officer witnesses shots fired from vehicle on 1st Ave South
At approximately 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, a Normandy Park police officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 16600 block of 1st Avenue South (map below). As the vehicle reached the 16800 block, the officer witnessed a passenger point a gun out of the window and fire at least one round.
Normandy Park vape shop rammed, robbed by teens in stolen car
A vape shop at Normandy Park Towne Center sustained significant damage early Monday morning after a stolen car was used to smash through the storefront. Police said that at approximately 2:40 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024, suspects rammed a vehicle that was stolen in Seattle through the front of the Tobacco Studio and Vape, causing a considerable amount of damage.

Construction has begun on new sidewalk on 1st Ave South in Normandy Park
Construction on a new sidewalk along 1st Avenue South between S. 174th Street and SW 176th Street in Normandy Park (map below) has begun, according to city officials. The project is expected to last through mid-May, and will involve both day and night lane closures on northbound and southbound lanes of 1st Avenue South.
