NORRIS, Tenn. (WATE) — The public will have their chance to voice opinions on the rezoning of an RV park run by Covenant Life Church that was barred from operating by a federal judge earlier this year.

Covenant Life’s “Solid Rock Retreat” includes 16 spaces for recreational vehicles, however, the church was ordered by a federal judge to either get permits or stop operating the park in March after the City of Norris alleged that the retreat violated several zoning and municipal ordinances.

According to the City of Norris, the hearing is on the consideration of rezoning the parcel of land from Forest, Agriculture, and Recreation and P-1: Professional and Civic District to C-2: General Commercial District. The meeting will be held in the Community Building at 20 Chestnut Drive in Norris.
