Tony Vitello earns third 2024 national coach of the year award
Tennessee baseball won the 2024 national championship in Tony Vitello’s seventh season as head coach for the Vols. On Tuesday, Vitello was named national coach of the year by D1Baseball. He has earned three national coach of the year awards after winning the College World Series. Vitello has now earned six national coaching honors during his tenure with the Vols. Tennessee also won the Southeastern Conference East division, the SEC regular-season championship and the SEC Tournament in 2024.
