KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for Central Knox County Wednesday afternoon. Storms have intermittently moved through the area this week, some bringing strong rain. The National Weather Service said up to 1.5 inches of rain has fallen in the Knoxville area, with an additional inch possible.

PRINCETON, KY — Kentucky State Police (KSP) report that KSP Post 2 Troopers arrested Braze Rucker early Sunday morning July 21st at a residence in Princeton, KY. The arrest was in reference to the July 19, 2024, shooting of Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Trooper Adam Cothron, in Putnam County, TN. Trooper Cothron (THP) conducted a traffic stop on I-40, at mile marker 285, near the Burgess Falls exit, occupied by two males.
