Volunteers sought to help clean up parks Saturday
ROME — The city of Rome is looking for volunteers to help clean up the parks and playgrounds still hampered by tornado damage this Saturday, according to city officials. Several city parks remain closed due to damage and debris from the July 16 tornado, including Gryziec Field, Fort Stanwix Park and Triangle Park, among others. Just over a month before football season starts at Syracuse University, dome renovations continue as new chair back seats are installed. The seat renovations are the last piece of a wider $120 million dome renovation plan. New York Assembly Speaker Carl Hastie and Assembly Member Bill Magnarelli announced a new $3 million grant for the JMA Wireless Dome this week.
