ROME — Two men have been taken into custody for weapons possession after search warrants were executed at homes on East Dominick Street and Wellesley Road, according to the Rome Police Department. Volunteers sought to help clean up parks Saturday
ROME — The city of Rome is looking for volunteers to help clean up the parks and playgrounds still hampered by tornado damage this Saturday, according to city officials. Several city parks remain closed due to damage and debris from the July 16 tornado, including Gryziec Field, Fort Stanwix Park and Triangle Park, among others. Salina, N.Y. – A man who threatened to shoot up police headquarters and a 911 call center was arrested Thursday. Corey Kinsella, 31, was charged with making a terroristic threat after making 22 calls to the Onondaga County 911 Center, according to a news release Friday from the Onondaga County District Attorney’s office. Making a terroristic threat is a felony, which carries a maximum sentence of seven years in prison.
