    Beach campfire planned

    The town of North Beach will hold a campfire on the beach 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 29, at the boardwalk. There will also be hot chocolate and the making of S’mores. Go to www.northbeachmd.org.

    Planting days set

    Historic Sotterley is looking for helpers for its annual Growing for Good Volunteer Planting Days 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Saturdays, March 30 and April 6, at 44300 Sotterley Lane in Hollywood.     'Forest' exhibit ends this weekend

    'Blowing' exhibit ends soon

    North End Gallery will host its Blowing in the Wind exhibit through March 31 at 4162 Fenwick St. in Leonardtown.     Sensory Day set

    Woods course registering

    Registration is being accepted for a “The Woods in Your Backyard” course, which will be held Mondays from April 8 through June 17. The course will help landowners convert lawn to natural areas and enhance stewardship of existing natural areas.     Scholarships available

    The Bel Alton High School Alumni Association is accepting applications through April 15 for its annual scholarship program for Charles County high school seniors and other young adults who are planning to enroll in a historically Black college and universities, College of Southern Maryland, or an accredited vocational/trade school.     Play golf for hospice

    Hospice of the Chesapeake will host its annual golf tournament 10 a.m. Thursday, April 18, at The Cannon Club in Lothian. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Registration includes breakfast, lunch on the course, awards dinner, beverages on the course, range time, greens fees, golf cart, and goodie bag.     Vendors needed for craft fair

    Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church is seeking crafters and vendors for its craft fair 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at 100 Village St. in Waldorf. Vendors selling household items, jewelry, gift items, and miscellaneous items are welcome. Tables are $25 each. Volunteers, especially youth, are also needed to help set up and clean up.
