The program offers a $1,500 payment to eligible families during the middle of their pregnancy, regardless of income levels and an additional $500 per month for the first 12 months of the child’s life. This initiative is part of a broader $55 million scheme aimed at easing the financial burden of raising children and supporting new and young families. Overall the Flint stimulus could total $7,500 for eligible families.
