STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Authorities allege that a 55-year-old man was caught with a gun while idling his luxury car in Stapleton. The episode began when Lawrence Myers of Webster Avenue in New Brighton was sitting behind the wheel of a white 2009 Mercedes-Benz that was parked with the engine running at Dock and Bay streets on June 23 around 8 p.m., according to the criminal complaint and police.

The Montreal Canadiens have dealt defenceman Johnathan Kovacevic to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.
