Beloved New Chinese-American Restaurant to Relocate

A popular North Charleston new Chinese-American restaurant is relocating, but just a short stroll away from its existing digs.

Jackrabbit Filly is bidding farewell to its current Spruill Ave spot and setting up shop in the heart of Park Circle . The new eatery will be located at 1037 East Montague Ave , in the former site of Southern Roots Smokehouse, which recently made its own move .

Jackrabbit Filly owners Corrie and Shuai Wang are thrilled about the transition, citing an irresistible opportunity at the larger East Montague location. The new space promises expanded amenities, including more indoor seating, a private dining room, a spacious bar area, and the revival of lunch service along with Sunday dim sum carts.

This announcement comes hot on the heels of a minor fire at the Wangs’ other eatery, King BBQ , which temporarily closed for repairs in early April but thankfully has resumed operations.

Corrie Wang told The Post and Courier that Jackrabbit Filly will continue to operate at its current Spruill Ave home until right before the grand opening at East Montague. Renovations at the new site are slated to begin in the coming weeks, with the aim to welcome diners in the fall.

Once open, the eatery will offer lunch and dinner services Wednesday through Saturday, along with brunch on Sunday. For the latest updates, follow Jackrabbit Filly on Instagram .
