    Savannah development, management group acquires North Charleston hotel

    A Savannah hotel development and management company has acquired a North Charleston hotel.

    Image Hotels, which has operated through the coastal South since 1978, has acquired Courtyard by Marriott North Charleston Airport/Coliseum in North Charleston, according to a news release.

    Located at 2415 Mall Drive, the Courtyard by Marriott North Charleston Airport/Coliseum is just minutes from Charleston International Airport has convenient access to the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center, the Charleston Tanger Outlets, the Charleston Area Convention Center, the South Carolina Aquarium and numerous shopping, dining and entertainment options, the release stated.

    “We are thrilled to add the Courtyard by Marriott in North Charleston to our growing portfolio and to expand our footprint into South Carolina,” said Kal Patel, president and chief operating officer, Image Hotels , in the release. “We expect the hotel to appeal to travelers coming to Charleston seeking a popular brand with modern amenities.”

    Amenities at the Courtyard by Marriott North Charleston Airport/Coliseum include an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness center, complimentary business service center, two meeting rooms, a courtyard area and the Bistro restaurant serving American cuisine, Starbucks coffee and evening cocktails, the release stated.
