    Weston & Sampson Welcomes Erin (Minnigan) Mehard, AICP, to their North Charleston Office.

    Weston & Sampson recently welcomed Erin Minnigan Mehard, AICP, as a Senior Project Planner in their No. Charleston office. For over nine years, Erin has specialized in historic preservation and urban planning where her experience spans both the public and nonprofit sectors. She brings a passion for maintaining authentic, livable communities by promoting managed growth and resilient design.

    Erin is looking forward to helping the firm’s clients achieve their vision for the future of their communities and expanding their planning practice throughout the Southeast.

    Erin earned her Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Florida and her BA in Historic Preservation & Community Planning from the College of Charleston. She is also a certified AICP through the American Planning Association.

    If you had not chosen your current profession, what profession would you choose and why? :

    I really enjoy restoring Mid-Century furniture, so that would probably be my alternate career choice!

    This past fall, my husband and I traveled through Italy for our honeymoon.

    What do you do when you want to relax? :

    I enjoy taking long walks along our local greenway or at the beach.

    It’s clich, but my favorite book (and movie) is Pride & Prejudice.
