NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Police are searching for two people accused of firing shots outside a Cook Out restaurant on Dorchester Road over the weekend.

Around 10:15 p.m. Sunday, the North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) responded to reports of shots fired outside a Cook Out drive-thru window.

An employee told officers that two suspects in a gold four-door sedan pulled up to the window and paid for their food before they “started complaining that they were waiting too long,” according to an incident report.

Police say a male wearing a ski mask exited the passenger seat of the car and began firing a pistol. The witness told police she was unsure if the gunman was firing toward her or into the air.

After the first shots were fired, witnesses say the female driver circled the restaurant before stopping back at the drive-thru window. The male passenger aimed the pistol at the employee once more before the two suspects drove away.

Identifying information could not be pulled from the credit card used to pay for the suspects’ food. Police say no shell casings were located on the scene.

The NCPD asks for anyone with information to please contact their office at (843) 740-2800.
