14 cameras are busting speeders on several roads in New York State this week. The radar was installed as part of legislation, signed into law in September 2022. Vermont State Police shoot Rhode Island man
(WJAR) — Vermont State Police said Monday that a Hopkinton, Rhode Island, man was injured when troopers shot him following a chase. According to state police, the confrontation began Sunday evening when New Hampshire and Vermont authorities were notified that 30-year-old Brenden Sackal, who had an active arrest warrant on charges relating to illegal high-capacity firearms, was traveling in that region.
Part of downtown Plattsburgh under boil-water order
A water main break in Plattsburgh has led to a boil-water order for a small portion of the Lake City’s downtown. The Plattsburgh Public Works Department put the boil-water order in place shortly before 1:00 Sunday afternoon. Officials say 12 Cornelia Street, 170 Margaret Street and 6 through 38 Miller Street lost their water service when the water main ruptured.
