The town of Cabot looks back to 2023 floods
CABOT, Vt. — A year later, the town of Cabot is looking back on the 2023 July floods and thanked all of those who stepped up to the plate. "It's an event to commemorate one year after the flood and also the most recent flooding that happened exactly a year afterwards, we’re here to celebrate all the volunteers that helped repair our town and to celebrate community resiliency," said Amanda Otto, an organizer.

GILFORD, N.H. — A person was hit and killed Sunday afternoon in the Lakes Region, according to police, marking the seventh death from a crash within days in New Hampshire. Gilford police said that around 5 p.m., they got a call saying there was a crash on Gilford Avenue involving a pedestrian.

Vermont State Police ID man shot by troopers during confrontation Sunday night
Vermont State Police say a man was shot during a confrontation with state troopers in the town of Burke on Sunday night. The shooting occurred shortly after 10 p.m. near the intersection of Route 114 and Pinkham Road, state police said. The man was taken to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury for treatment of his injuries and later transferred to Dartmouth Hitchock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

Young artists art parade and gallery walk
LUDLOW, Vt. – Young artists from Ludlow, Cavendish, Proctorsville, Mount Holly, and Chester are invited to attend Art Adventures workshops with Fletcher Farm School for the Art and Crafts. Wonderful local school teachers Marcia Dockum, Rachel Karner, Christa Valente, and Piper Strong have volunteered their time to keep art alive during the summer.
