MPD arrests man for allegedly stalking Foggy Bottom, Georgetown residents
The Metropolitan Police Department arrested a man on Sunday who allegedly stalked multiple people in Foggy Bottom and Georgetown, according to a MPD press release. MPD arrested and charged Delonta Deon Spriggs, 39, of stalking after Foggy Bottom and Georgetown residents reported being followed on multiple occasions in July. Advisory Neighborhood Commission Chair Trupti Patel said she heard from Foggy Bottom residents that Spriggs was targeting men and women and would attempt to “intimidate” and “menace” people in the neighborhood by staring them down.
Officials name Stephanie Worrell as gymnastics head coach
Associate Head Coach and alumna Stephanie Stoicovy Worrell will head the gymnastics team, Athletics Director Tanya Vogel announced Tuesday. Worrell will step into the role as head coach during her ninth season with the Revolutionaries, after starting her coaching career at GW in 2015 as an assistant coach and later serving the team as Associate Head Coach in 2022. Worrell will take the reins from former Head Coach Margie Foster Cunningham, the longest-tenured coach at GW after leading the program for 39 years.

Man found guilty of a string of violent robberies sentenced to over 10 years in prison
WASHINGTON — A judge has sentenced a D.C. man to more than 10 years in prison for a string of robberies across the District. On Friday, Stephon Lee was sentenced to 129 months in prison, following his guilty plea on April 19. Lee pleaded guilty to two counts of armed robbery, two counts of robbery, one count of attempted armed robbery, and one count of second-degree theft.
