The Berks History Center has announced the appointment of Frederick (Fred) Sheeler as its new board president, effective June 25, 2024. “Fred brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to our mission of preserving and sharing the rich history of Berks County,” said BHC Executive Director, Benjamin Neely. “I am confident that under his leadership, the Berks History Center will continue to thrive and expand its impact on the community. We look forward to the exciting opportunities and growth that lie ahead.”
Philadelphia Police Appeal to Public in Urgent Search for Missing Man Bradley Wood
The Philadelphia Police Department is earnestly seeking the assistance of the community to help find Bradley Wood, a resident reported missing in the city's 26th District. Wood, whose whereabouts became a concern after he was last seen on the evening of July 14, has not been seen or heard from since his disappearance on the 3xx block of W. Berks St around 6:00 p.m., according to the Police Department's blotter. Described as a 5’11” tall, 160-pound male with blue eyes and a bald head. He was last seen attired in an unassuming black T-shirt, blue ripped jeans, and red, black, or white Nike sneakers.
