NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — The Barefoot Swing Bridge in North Myrtle Beach reopened on Sunday after a brief closure to address a mechanical issue.

In February, the city said it was seeking a fresh round of bids for repairs to the 80-year-old structure for sidewalk removal and replacement work — an expected six-week venture.

City Manager Mike Mahaney said at a December workshop the lowest estimated cost for repairs was $750,000.
