Dot Lake sues Army Corps of Engineers over Manh Choh Mine wetland permit
The Native Village of Dot Lake filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in District Court on July 1 for its issuance of a permit for the Manh Choh gold mine near Tetlin. The lawsuit claims that the permit was issued without “meaningfully consulting with the Tribe or conducting the environmental reviews necessary to adequately analyze the impacts of the mine.”
