Pick a pumpkin from the pool: Pumpkin Plunge registration now open

NORTH PORT — Those longing for cooler autumn temperatures will be happy to see registration for pumpkin plunge 2024 is now open.

The event allows residents to pick a pumpkin from the pool at the North Port Aquatic Center. Pumpkins will be up for grabs on Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Registration is required as space is limited. It is $10 per child, with a supervising adult complimentary.

After picking the pumpkin, attendees can make their way to one of the art stations onsite to decorate their selected gourd.

Games and other traditional harvest-time activities will also be available on the Saturday morning.

“The Pumpkin Plunge is a fantastic way to celebrate the fall season in a safe and engaging environment,” Aquatic Manager, Devón Poulos said. “Whether you’re a pumpkin enthusiast or just looking for a unique way to enjoy the autumn spirit, this event promises fun for all ages.”
