    North Sioux City says flood damage needs to be reported by July 12; Directions to McCook Lake Relief Center

    NORTH SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — North Sioux City is reminding residents to report flood damage and have now given a deadline to do so.

    North Sioux City residents are asked to have all their damage reported by July 12. Damage can be reported here and pictures are expected, the city said in a Wednesday update. They said there will be no exceptions.

    If someone doesn’t have a computer, they can use one at the North Sioux City Library. The library will be open from July 8 to July 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    The city said FEMA is expected to appear in the town during the week of July 15 through July 19.

    People are also asked to track volunteer time. They said the volunteer hors need to be tracked to justify reimbursment to FEMA. The McCook Izaak Walton League Volunteer Sign in form can be found here .

    North Sioux City is providing multiple updates a day on its website and Facebook page .

    Organizers have also provided step-by-step directions to get to the McCook Lake Relief Center on Suncoast Drive.

    • From Sioux City, take Interstate 29 north to Exit 4
    • Turn right at the exit ramp
    • Turn left onto Highway 105
    • Take the first left onto County Road 1
    • Drive west about two miles to Northshore
    • At the stop sign, go straight onto Westshore
    • Turn left at the Izaak Walton League sign
